Girl Scout Cadettes will be guided through programming and coding procedures in this virtual workshop with STEM the Gap Academy!
Earn your Cadettes Coding Basics Badge with STEM the Gap Academy! In this course, participants will explore the step-by-step instructions that programmers use to create apps, games, and other technologies we rely on every day. They'll get hands-on with block coding, a beginner-friendly way to learn to program and discover important techniques like camel case formatting to write clean, organized code. By working with functions, arguments, and sequences, they'll learn to break down big problems into smaller steps, just like real programmers do. By the end of this class, girls will be more familiar with programming languages, understand the benefits of learning them, and gain confidence in navigating the exciting world of coding!
