Small Watercraft Facilitator Training will include familiarization with all the safety aspects and instruction techniques for use of canoes, kayaks, and stand-up paddle boards. Basic water rescue techniques will be taught during the course and will require participants to get in the water as part of the course (weather permitting). Please dress accordingly and bring towels and change of clothes as needed. This course will provide the training needed to use any of the council's watercraft equipment on camp properties and other bodies of water across the valley. Successful completion of this course will qualify volunteers to instruct small watercraft activity sessions.
