Our council has four amazing camp properties that welcome girls every summer for a fun and unique programming experience. From painting pottery and canoeing to ziplining and rock climbing, the adventures at Girl Scout Summer Camp are never-ending!
As a camp staff team member, you will work alongside experienced camp professionals who will guide and support you as you promote growth and confidence in girls who are experienced or first-time campers. Prepare for your first year of college, learn how to manage finances, collaborate with others, and foster a community of friendship and encouragement. Whether you want to be a teacher, psychologist, engineer, or designer – apply the skills you’ve learned at camp to any profession!
Northern Arizona camp staff will reside on-site for the entire camp season from late May through July, with end dates dependent on camp placement. Our northern camps are Shadow Rim Ranch, Willow Springs, and Maripai. Staff will receive a two-hour daily break and a 24-hour weekly break. Lodging and meals are provided.
Phoenix camp staff working at The Bob & Renee Parsons Leadership Center for Girls and Women at Camp South Mountain may reside at camp or commute daily to the property for day camps – providing a flexible opportunity for Metro Phoenix candidates. Staff will receive breakfast and lunch.
As an Assistant Camp Director, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective operation of our camp program while encouraging staff growth and professional development. Reporting to the Camp Director, you will supervise and support staff while promoting the camp’s mission and goals. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to administrative tasks, staff/camper support, health and safety, program coordination, and acting in place of the camp director if unavailable.

These positions supervise program and unit staff. Administrative positions are focused on staff support and supervision alongside the Camp Director. Duties for administrative staff include but are not limited to program logistics, business management, risk management, scheduling, camper, and staff supervision, among others.

Under minimal supervision, provide direct health assistance, assessment, and medication administration for campers and staff. Work directly with unit staff and girls as needed. Support and encourage a healthy and sanitary camp community, and actively promote and support the camp’s mission and goals through the Girl Scout Leadership Experience.
Candidates must be at least 21 years of age and are required to be an RN, LPN, PA, NP, EMT, etc .
Work directly with the Camp Administrative team and the CIT Coordinator to provide an effective resident camp experience for Counselor In Training campers. Assist in creating and developing camp programs, ensure active involvement in all aspects of camp, encourage self-growth and camper growth, and enthusiastically promote the Girl Scout Mission

Work directly with the Camp Administrative team and the CIT Leader to provide an effective resident camp experience for Counselor In Training campers. Coordinate and develop camp programs, ensure active involvement in all aspects of camp, encourage self-growth and camper growth, and enthusiastically promote the Girl Scout Mission.
Candidates must be at least 21 years of age.
Unit staff work in teams to supervise and support camper groups while fostering a friendly and positive environment and often participate in camp activities with their campers. Our units are grouped based on grade level and program.

If Unit Counselors, leaders, or administrative staff express interest in teaching outdoor programs, training will be provided on-site for most areas before Girl Scout Summer Camp begins. We encourage all staff to be trained in at least one program area. See programs and training locations below:
Note: Archery, lifeguard, small watercraft, water safety, and swim instructors require proof of certification, which will be provided during training.
