When are camping reservations available?
Reservations for overnights are available from 2 pm Friday through 2 pm Sunday. A family may reserve a cabin unit/building for up to 2 nights. For more information, please review our Camp Property FAQ’S.
Are there any fees for camping?
Yes. Depending upon the type of camping your family reserves.
Are there any program offerings?
Yes, self-guided only. This includes program box rental. Program areas, such as archery, pool, and challenge course, are unavailable now.
Can we rent camping equipment?
Yes, some of our properties have equipment such as stoves and propane, tents, hammocks, and outdoor cooking supplies. Please see the chart for the specific camp you are interested in. TCC2 is required for camp stoves.
What is Glamping Camping?
We refer to Glamping when the setup has dormitory rooms, a bathroom, and a kitchen inside, much like a family house rental.
What if I have my own gear?
You can bring your tent, tent, stove, coolers. TCC2 required.
Is there electricity in hammocks, tents, or yurts?
No, there is no electricity.
What certifications do I need?
GSUSA recommended different adults hold certifications (First Aid/CPR is held by one adult and TCC1 by another adult in the group). This is required for troops only.
- Glamping = First Aid/CPR, TCC1
- Cabin Camping = First Aid/CPR, TCC1 (TCC2 if cooking your own meals)
- Tent Camping = First Aid/CPR, TCC1, TCC2
- Yurt Camping = First Aid/CPR, TCC1 (TCC2 if cooking your own meals)
- Hammock Camping = First Aid/CPR, TCC1, TCC2
What happens if I need to leave camp during my stay?
Contact camp staff and let them know when you are leaving and returning to camp.
What options do I have for food?
- Bring your own food (non-cooking)
- Cook your own food (TCC2 is required for outdoor cooking)
- Leave camp and get food in the nearby town
Can I bring my pets?
No. However, service animals are welcome.
Can I bring my own sports equipment?
Yes, feel free to bring a soccer ball(s), volleyball (s), etc. Climbing harnesses, ropes, bicycles, archery, canoes/kayaks/paddleboards, and PFD are not allowed.
Is cell phone service reliable at camp?
Not all camps have the same wireless range. Only Parsons Leadership Center has consistent wireless and cell phone service.
Can I bring an ATV?
No.
Can I bring my own trailer or RV?
No.
Can I bring my troop?
Yes, day use is only available. Contact the camp team to check availability and make your reservation.
Can additional visitors come to camp to visit my family?
Not currently. Only the same household family members have reserved.
