The Gold Award is the highest award Girl Scouts in 9-12 grade can
earn. It opens the opportunity for girls to address a community
challenge and create a sustainable solution. With many hours dedicated
to completing their projects, it is important for girls and adults to
understand the Gold Award process and its requirements. Open to
Seniors, Ambassadors, and the adults who will guide them through the
process, this training will review the following:
1.
The difference between a community service project and a Gold Award
Take Action Project
2. Ideas on how to raise the bar and
address the root cause of problems
3. How to make a Gold
Award project measurable
4. How to ensure sustainability is
included in a Gold Award Project
5. Overview of the approval
process and what will need to be submitted to the council
6.
Gold Award recipient recognition
Please bring supplies
to take notes with during the training. If you have any questions or
concerns, please contact our Gold Award Team at GoldAward@girlscoutsaz.org.
This is not a drop off event.
