Girl Scouts–Arizona Cactus-Pine Council has been notified by the council bakery, Little Brownie Bakers, that they recently received notification from consumers informing them of an off taste and smell from some packages of Lemon Chalet Crème cookies. The council has been made aware that certain lots of the cookies contain oils that may be that may be breaking down. The bakery immediately took the precautionary step of testing cookie samples. It was determined that while the cookies are safe for consumers to eat, they are not up to quality standards and thus placed on quality hold.
It is critical to note that there is no health or human safety issue with the cookies, thus this current action is a quality hold and not a recall.
If customers have purchased a package of Lemon Chalet Crèmes and the quality does not meet expectations, you may call Girl Scouts–Arizona Cactus-Pine Council at 602.452.7125 or 602.452.7176.

The public celebration of women’s history in this country began in the late 1970s as Women’s History Week in Sonoma County, California. In 1981, Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) and Rep. Barbara Mikuluski (D-MD.) co-sponsored a joint Congressional resolution to proclaim Women’s History Week. In 1987, Congress expanded the celebration to a month, and March was declared Women’s History Month. The observation honors women’s contributions to history, culture and society.
Women’s History Month holds International Women’s Day, which is March 8.
On my honor, I will try:
To serve God and my country,
To help people at all times,
And, to live by the Girl Scout Law.
