No current fire threat to any GSACPC camps

Posted: Jun 07, 2011

None of the large fires currently burning in Arizona are threatening any of the camp properties owned and operated by the Girl Scouts–Arizona Cactus-Pine Council (GSACPC).

Council staff is monitoring the fires closely and is in continuous contact with Camp Directors at Camp Maripai (near Prescott); Willow Springs (also near Prescott); Shadow Rim Ranch (near Payson); Camp Stephens (in Mohave County, near Kingman); and Sombrero (in the Phoenix area).  Every year, Council staff works with County and State authorities.  We have comprehensive emergency response plans in place that can be activated instantly when needed.

If fire or smoke will affect your child’s camp session, we will notify you by phone or email, and here, on our website.

As always, if you’d like to check-in with your child at camp, you may contact the camp director anytime by phone or email. Contact information is included in your camp materials.

If you have further questions, please call the Council office at 602.452.7000.
