It’s Volunteer Appreciation Week!

Posted: Apr 22, 2013

Girl Scouts is kicking off Volunteer Appreciation Week by thanking all of our volunteers for volunteering for girls. Without a paycheck and without any fanfare, Girl Scout volunteers devote themselves to girl leadership. They put in long hours, stay patient as girls lead their own activities, and bring fun and spirit to everything girls do. Girl Scout volunteers are making a difference in the world, one girl at a time.

Behind every Girl Scout is an amazing team of volunteers. Adults support Girl Scouts by serving as donors, Troop leaders, board members, and program support. Last year, our corps of nearly 10,000 adult volunteers served 24,568 girls.

It is a fun-filled and rewarding journey helping to shape girls of courage, confidence and character that builds lasting memories. Whether you’re interested in starting a Troop or just volunteering for the day, we're always looking for more agents of change to join this amazing force of volunteers in order to serve more, and eventually, ALL girls!
