The Gold Award is the highest award Girl Scouts in 9-12 grade can earn. It opens the opportunity for girls to address a community challenge and create a sustainable solution. With many hours dedicated to completing their projects, it is important for girls and adults to understand the Gold Award process and its requirements. Open to Seniors, Ambassadors, and the adults who will guide them through the process, this training will review the following:

1. The difference between a community service project and a Gold Award Take Action Project

2. Ideas on how to raise the bar and address the root cause of problems

3. How to make a Gold Award project measurable

4. How to ensure sustainability is included in a Gold Award Project

5. Overview of the approval process and what will need to be submitted to the council

6. Gold Award recipient recognition
