Support Aspire Academy
Each year, GSACPC in partnership with Mesa Fire and Medical Department, and the best-of-the-best from more than 25 area public safety agencies, offer girls a once-in-a-lifetime to experience what it would be like to be a firefighter or police officer. Girls spent four days rappelling down buildings, investigating forensics, crawling through simulated burning buildings, and practicing self-defense. Side-by-side with more than 150 female police officers and firefighters from departments all over the region, the girls challenged themselves physically and mentally, building confidence and respect through teamwork.
Research shows that girls learn best in an all-girl, girl-led and girl-friendly environment like the Girl Scouts. We believe in the importance of pairing girls with strong, caring female role models and mentors who will help prepare them to take the lead in the future. ASPIRE Academy offers a safe space for girls to push themselves to achieve things they hadn’t imagined they could.
