Membership as a Girl Scout is granted to any girl who:
"Has made the Girl Scout Promise
and accepted the Girl Scout Law,
has paid annual membership dues, and
meets applicable membership standards."

Girl Scout Daisies are in grades K-1.
Girl Scout Brownies are in grades 2-3.
Girl Scout Juniors are in grades 4-5.
Girl Scout Cadettes are in grades 6-8.
Girl Scout Seniors are in grades 9-10.
Girl Scout Ambassadors are in grades 11-12.
Girl Scout Juliettes* are in grades K-12.

Membership Dues
The national organization, Girl Scouts of the USA, requires payment of $10.00 annually for both girl and adult members. Membership dues for girls are paid when the parent/guardian signs a registration form (except when financial assistance is requested from the Council).

Girl Scout Program Goals
From the basic troops meeting all the way to the Gold Award and "Extreme Girl Scouting," Girl Scout experiences and activities are designed to help each girl develop her own potential, relate to others, develop values and contribute to society. The Girl Scout Program is for all girls, ages 5-17. It is a single program which is adapted to meet the developmental, educational, emotional and social needs and interests of girls at five program levels (Daisy, Brownie, Junior, Cadette, and Senior Girl Scouts).
What are membership dues used for?
The annual membership dues for girl and adult member funds:

A secondary accident insurance policy for all registered members for approved supervised Girl Scout activities.

Girl Scout Leader magazine for adults.

National program development and research to maintain Girl Scouting as a vital and relevant movement.
