Resident and Day Camp - Prescott

Willow Springs Program Center is a 190-acre camp near Prescott, Arizona. Surrounded by a pine forest at an elevation of 6,000 feet, the temperature at camp is 10-20 degrees cooler than at lower elevations. Sleeping facilities include cabins and dormitory-style buildings with electricity and platform tents.
Each unit sleeps 30-40 girls and has flush toilets, a covered program ramada, and staff housing.
All girls attending Willow Springs will have the opportunity to choose from art programs including drama, ceramics, painting, jewelry making, tie-dye, and more. Other options include archery, hiking, outdoor cooking, singing, sports, dance, games and the challenge course. Some 5- and 12-day programs include an out-of-camp trip. All activities are weather permitting.
In providing progression based programming girls ages 7-8 do not participate in archery.

NEW -- Day Camp At Willow Springs!
Come spend your days at Willow Springs where we will do all the things camp has to offer except sleep! We’ll hike, tye-dye, play with clay, do drama, dance and crafts!
Campers will be required to ride the bus to camp from one of two locations (Prescott and Prescott valley). Bus transportation fees are included in the session fees, but you will still need to indicate your bus stop on the registration form.
Day Camp is Monday -Thursday.

Daisy Days -1st grade (in the fall)

Hey Daisy day campers, come give camp a chance and have lots of fun tye dyeing, singing, playing games, hiking and making friends.
Brownie Days - 2nd and 3rd grade (in the fall)

Come to camp and explore nature. We will learn about habitats, hike, make a bird feeder, tye dye, sing and do arts and crafts. Earn the Eco-Explorer Try-It.
Junior Days - 4th and 5th grade (in the fall)

Hey day campers, come spend a week at camp where you will tye dye, hike, go on a geo hunt, make your own fossil, sing, and
do arts and crafts. Earn the Rocks Rock Badge.

Amazing Daisies

Ready to give camp a try? We will have a lot of fun doing crafts, going on a hike, tye-dying, singing,
and making new friends! Sleep in the dormitory-style building.
Grades 2-3 [in the fall]

If you are a Brownie who loves camp then this session is for you! Make s’mores, try tie-dying, create a yarn painting, make your
own mobile, go on a nature walk and learn some camp songs during the day. Earn the Colors and Shapes Try-It.
Making Music
6 DAY $275
Week 6
Let’s make some noise! In addition to hiking, tie-dying and s’more making, we’ll also be making our
own instruments like tambourines, guitars, drums and shakers. There will be lots of action and
camp songs sung as well. Earn the Making Music & Sounds of Music Try-It’s.
Boppin' Brownies

Do you like dancing? Come learn some new dance moves and make up some of your own. We’ll also have a rockin’ dance party!
New songs will be learned, s’mores will be made and fun will be had! Earn the Dancercize Try-It.

Short n' Sweet

Not sure if camp is for you? Come to this mini-session and find out! Try all of the activities
Willow has to offer— including drama, archery, ceramics, tie-dye, nature, and more. You’ll also cook
outdoors, play some new games, make new friends and sing lots of songs. Work on the Healthy
Relationships Badge.
It's a Slumber Party
4 DAY $195
Week 1 or 5
Experience the magic of camp after the sun goes down. Go on a night hike, play games by moonlight,
or hang out in the lodge doing your nails, doing facials and talking to your new friends. After
a night of adventure you get to sleep in the next day!!!
Super Sampler
6 DAY $275
Week 2, 3, 4, 6, 7 or 8
Are you the kind of girl who wants it all? During this week-long session you can make a pot,
shoot an arrow, play drama games, take a hike, and show off your dance moves. In between you’ll
find time to make s’mores, learn new camp songs, and practice tie-dying. Take home a Super
Sampler Patch.
Drama Queens

Have you always dreamed of being an actress? This is your chance! In addition to general camp
activities, you’ll work as a group to put on a play for the entire camp. Play character charades,
design your own costume including a theatre mask, and try your hand at stage makeup. Earn the
Theatre Badge.
Come Clay Around
6 DAY $275
Week 2 or 4
Learn how to use clay to make beautiful art. In addition to general camp activities, you’ll make a
pinch pot, a coil pot, sculpt a figurine, decorate a tile and learn how to glaze your pieces. Earn the
Ceramics and Clay Badge.
Junior Explorer

Week 2 or 6
Spend some serious time outside at camp doing archery, low elements on the Willow Springs challenge course, hiking, kickball
and wiffleball. You will also plan and cook four meals in your unit. Earn the Outdoor Fun and Outdoor Cook Badges.
Sounds of Camp

Week 6
Do you play an instrument or just simply love music? If so then this is the week for you. In addition to general camp activities, learn all about different instruments and types of music, learn how
to write your own piece of music, design your own new instrument and witness the music that nature makes every day! If you already play a musical instrument please bring it to camp! Earn the
Making Music and Music Fan Badge.
Art Attack
6 DAY $275
Week 2, 4 or 8
Do you love to create things? See how many crafts you can complete in a week. Learn origami, make a pot in ceramics,
make a mobile, work with beads, make candles, try wood burning, try your hand at oils and watercolors! Work on the Art in
3-D and Jeweler Badges.
Dancin' Diva
6 DAY $275
Week 3 or 8
Learn the all the new crazy dance steps, including hip-hop and jazz and also cover drill-team and cheerleading moves. You’ll finish the week with a dance party and put together a routine to
perform at the end of camp. Work on the Dance Badge.
Junior Challenge

Are you ready to take the challenge? Bring it on! In addition to general camp activities, you will spend a week on the low elements of Willow Springs’ challenge course. Tackle initiatives on the
ground, learn how to “spot” your friends, and work on your team-building skills. Work on the Lead On and Adventure Sports Badges.

Friends and Fun

Here is your chance to have a laid back time at camp. You’ll do a little bit of everything like ceramics, archery, jewelry making, and painting but you’ll also get extra time to hang out in your
units and make new friends. We’ll make s’mores, stay up late and have sleep in breakfasts.

Choreograph, practice and perform a dance routine for the whole camp. Sample hip-hop, line dancing, salsa, hula and modern. Work on the Performing Arts Interest Project.
Music Lovers

Is music your passion? Do you get caught singing in the shower and tapping your feet at the dinner table? In addition to general camp activities
you’ll learn about different styles in your culture and in others, participate in some karaoke and learn about different styles and instruments. If you already play a musical instrument bring it to
camp! Work on the On a High Note Interest Project.

Spend your morning in ceramics, try archery in the afternoon, and take a night hike after dark. Stay

Want to look and feel your best? Come hang out, relax,do your nails, do a facial, experiment with makeup, learn

Wheel It

In addition to general camp activities, you’ll learn to throw a pot on the wheel, make a pinch pot, a
coil pot, try some new sculpting techniques, glaze and fire several pieces, and try all of the tools in
Willow’s ceramics studio. Work on the Artistic Crafts Interest Project.
Ready, Set, Action

Week 4
Have you always dreamed of being an actress? This is your chance! In addition to general camp
activities, you’ll work as a group to put on a play for the entire camp. Play drama games, learn
about set and costume design, and perform a musical number or two. Work on the Performing Arts
Interest Project.
Willow Challenge

What makes a team work? Come find out! In addition to general camp activities you will spend time
tackling low and high elements on the challenge course. Experience communication, trust, and
cooperation and test your own limits as you work to solve a variety of challenges. Work on the High
Adventure Interest Project.

Extreme Challenge

Ready to go extreme? Let’s go! In addition to general camp activities, you will experience old and
new elements on the challenge course. Expect some surprises and take a trip out of camp for a day
of rock climbing. Work on the High Adventure Interest Project.

Ultimate Challenge

Weeks 2 and 3
Ready for a new challenge? Come to Willow Springs for three days on the high and low courses and
then head out of camp to try bouldering, rock climbing, and rappelling on nearby mountains. This
two-week challenge is the ultimate! Work on the High Adventure Interest Project.
Pins and Needles
6 DAY $275
Week 4
If you are into fashion and design this is the program for you. Learn how to make your own make-up
bag, headbands, and purse. Design and create your own shirt, skirt or pair of shorts. You’ll also discover
the many uses of duct tape. We’ll make flowers, bags and belts. Work on the Fashion Design
Interest Project.
Way Off Broadway

One week of drama not enough? Come for two! In addition to general camp activities you’ll
explore the world of theatre arts through acting, writing, directing, costume and set design, and
stage make-up. Finish off with a production for the entire camp. Work on The Play’s the Thing
Interest Project.
The Write Camp

Is “become a published author” on your to-do list? Here’s your chance to jump “write” in! In addition
to general camp activities, you’ll receive instruction in journaling, storytelling, character development,
and plot and dialogue. Work on the Once Upon A Story Interest Project.
Creation Heaven
12 DAY $495 Weeks 6 and 7
Love to create things? Come to camp and spend two weeks creating everything from candles and
jewelry to a whole week in the ceramics art studio working with clay. We will paint, draw, stencil
and create a master project of your choice to be displayed on the last day for the whole camp to
see. Work on the Artistic Crafts and Visual Arts Interest Project.
Oxford Youth Leadership Program

We are partnering with the Oxford Leadership Academy to bring you an exceptional personal
leadership development program. Use reflective practices combined with experiential education
to develop your inner leader! You will also participate in traditional camp activities. For more

Discover Aviation 1 and 2
6 DAY $330
Week 2
Imagine yourself soaring through the open skies! You will log time in the plane and helicopter
simulators and spend time each day at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University or Prescott Airport.
You and your team will plan a cross-country flight, build model aircrafts, and enjoy a once in a
lifetime opportunity to go behind the aviation scenes! Earn the Aviation Patch.
Discover Aviation Two

Already attended Discover Aviation Camp? Come again for an even more exciting aviation experience.
This year we created a special program for girls who already attended Discover Aviation and want a more advanced aviation experience. It is more complex, more in-depth, and even more fun! We will visit Lockheed-Martin’s Flight Service Station in Prescott Valley, one of only a dozen in the nation, where specialists communicate with pilots before, during and after take-off to update weather information and file their flight plans. We will experience Embry Riddle’s state-of-the-art Air Traffic Control laboratory simulating flights in Prescott airspace where you will hear and follow air traffic control instructions and see other aircraft in the pattern with you. You will fly an advanced, multi-engine aircraft simulator and plan and carry out a cross country flight in and Embry-Riddle aircraft.

Grab your favorite guy (18 years or older) and come up to camp for the weekend! Willow Springs
will provide all meals and you’ll get to enjoy nature hikes, stargazing, ceramics, leather tooling, low
challenge course elements and more!
Troop Programs
Core Camp (Troop leaders must have TCC training to attend this program)
GRADES 4-12
3 DAY $65-70/person JUNE 26-28 (6:30pm Friday through 10:00am Sunday)
Want to come to resident camp with your entire troop? Here’s your chance! Willow Springs will
provide most meals as well as four hours of programming on Saturday. Troops will get to cook
dinner on Saturday night and have the opportunity to work on their own activities as well.
Sleeping Options: cabins (with electricity) or platform tents. (cabin: $70/person or platform tent: $65/person)
Willow Action for Troops
Is your troop looking for a fun camping adventure this summer without having to lad the car up with trained adults, tens, tons of food and games? We will provide lodging, food and programming. This includes arts and crafts, dance, tye dye, drama, hiking, and ceramics. We also have archery for girls going into 4th grade and challenge course activities for girls going into 6th grade. Troops will earn the Willow Action Patch. Adults do not need outdoor or first aid training to attend.
