Camp Sombrero Day Camp Descriptions

Sombrero, Day Camp - Phoenix

Camp Sombrero is a 14.5-acre camp situated at the base of South Mountain in Maricopa County. The rocky desert terrain supports many desert plants and trees, a large grassy area and our very own covered pool.

Programming runs Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm, with check-in from 7:30 - 8:00am and check-out from 4:30 - 5:30pm.

Girls bring a sack lunch daily and the camp provides Gatorade/water and snacks. Bathing suits, sunscreen, chapstick and water bottles are required daily. Campers will enjoy water activities and participate in arts and crafts. Girl Scouts grades 4-8 will experience archery. All activities are weather permitting.

In alignment with the Girl Scout Leadership Experience age groups, Sombrero day camp has made a few adjustments.
Girls will receive a Camp Sombrero Patch. The descriptions below offer a general theme for the week. Girls will participate in program activities appropriate to their grade level.
