It's Your Planet - Love it!
Girl Scouts–Arizona Cactus-Pine Council is very proud to have been selected, by Girl Scouts of the USA, to participate in a national community action project, Girl Scouts Forever Green! Join us as we help girls develop and use their leadership skills to impact the environment in their schools and communities to improve water use and waste management.
To help prepare for and celebrate our upcoming 100th anniversary of Girl Scouting in 2012, we are asking you to commit to an earth friendly project over the next year.
Here are some ways that you can help this cause
- Start a No Idling program at your school.
- Start a recycling program at your school. Recycle paper you would ordinarily throw in the trash.
- Plant a garden and harvest the vegetables.
These are just a few ideas to help get you thinking! Be creative with your ideas and make sure you will be making a sustainable impact on your community, school or home! A few of the collaborators on board already are Greenbuild, U of A, ASU, Arizona Project Wet, USDA, and Waste Management.
This is a very exciting project for Girl Scouts of the USA and Girl Scouts Arizona--Cactus-Pine Council. Don’t miss out on being part of a national Girl Scout movement to help save our planet!
