Jamboree 2010 - Good ol’ Fashioned Country Fair/Fun

Girl Scout Junior-Ambassador, Registered Leaders/Advisors (this event is not open to Girl Scout Daisy/Brownie)

Join sister Girl Scouts from Arizona Cactus Pine and Sahuaro Councils as they camp out at YMCA Chauncey Ranch for a wild weekend of fun, adventure and making new friends.

Program Details

Location: YMCA Chauncey Ranch, Mayer, AZ /Visit Chauncey Ranch: http://www.valleyymca.org/campChauncey

Dates: Friday, April 9 - Sunday, April 11, 2010

Time: Check in: Friday, 4-10pm/ check out Sunday 1pm

Capacity: 900 participants - min: 200/ max: 900

Registration period: August 1, 2009- program has reached capacity or February 15, 2010

Registrations will not be accepted after 2/15/2010

Formal Registration packet will be emailed upon receipt of Space Saver form and $50 troop fee.

Adult Volunteers: Add'l adults may be added to troop rosters if they are willing to volunteer for one (1) two (2) hour timeslot during Jamboree weekend


Payment Schedule

• $60 pp (Incl: patch, activities listed above, site fee, water for drinking/campsite clean up, sanitation, Port-o-Potty

• $50 per group/troop due upon registration will be deducted from final balance due

• $60 pp due by January 14, 2010

• $30 per Program Aide due by January 14, 2010 (Incl: food, tent, cooking gear, site fee, patch)

• Registrations received after January 15, 2010 will be charged at $70 pp

• Final balance due by February 15, 2010

Optional Fees:

• $10 - Jamboree 2010 T-shirt (shirts are available for pre-orders only)

• $60 - RT coach bus from area stops (Stops will be determined by participant locations. Bus service may be cancelled if ridership is down)

• Saturday night BBQ dinner (cost tbd)

• Spending money (available at Jamboree: council shop and food concession stands)

 

Program Aides @ Jamboree

Program Aides are needed to help administer program activities on Saturday. Program Aides will camp together in their own unit and choose program assignments on Friday night.

• Food, tent, site fee, cooking gear and patch are included in the $30 fee

• PA's register individually via E-Council


Men @ Jamboree

Male troop/group leaders will be permitted to attend Jamboree 2010. Men will be housed in camp cabins and an additional fee (TBD) will be applied.


Jamboree Requirements

• Use Safety-Wise guidelines for girl/adult ratios (to allow for greater girl attendance, Safety-Wise guidelines will be strictly enforced)

• Troop Camp Certification required

• Participants provide all gear (tents, sleeping bags etc.)/prepare all meals at campsite

• First Aid/CPR required

• Troops must have participated in at least 1 camping trip prior to Jamboree

• Basic Troop Mgt & Program Level (Recommended)
