Council’s Own Patches and Patch Programs
Council Patch Programs and Council's Own Patches are specially developed around particular themes relevant to Girl Scout program emphases. To earn the patches, girls are required to complete a number of activities (specified according to level) and a number of other activities involving the community and/or relevant external institutions. Council sponsored patch programs are available to troop, group and Juliette girl members.

Journeys
A key part of Girl Scout leadership is the journey. The Journey Series are activities grouped around a theme and connected to tools that help girls map the experience. This is where girls discover, connect, and take action to make the world a better place.

Just Us Social Justice Program
These prevention and early-intervention programs are aimed at breaking the intergenerational cycles of abuse, poverty and crime, and offer a range of services to girls living in housing projects or homeless shelters, and girls involved in the juvenile justice systems.

This program focuses on personal leadership as a vehicle for world change. Girls learn to evaluate their own strengths and weaknesses, manage stress generated by school, family and life in general, and make strong decisions that affect their future and the future of their communities.

We Believe in Girls
We Believe in Girls offers no-cost Girl Scouting to girls who live in low-income neighborhoods, housing projects, homeless shelters and those who are in the juvenile justice and corrections systems.

World Thinking Day
Each year on February 22 Girl Scouts, from around the world, participate in activities, games, and projects with global themes to honor their sister Girl Guides and Girl Scouts in other countries. World Thinking Day not only gives girls a chance to celebrate international friendships, but is also a reminder that Girl Scouts of the USA is part of a global community-one of nearly 150 countries with Girl Guides and Girl Scouts.
