600 Girl Scouts attend 11th Annual Mmmmilk & Cookies Event

Posted: Feb 01, 2012

On Saturday, Jan. 28th, 600 Girl Scouts toured St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance to learn more about the need for emergency food boxes in our community at the 11th Annual Mmmmilk & Cookies event, co-hosted by Shamrock Farms.

The event celebrated our Cookie Sale and more specifically, the Gift of Caring program, which invites members of the community to purchase additional cookies to donate to St. Mary’s Food Bank for families and individuals in need.

At the end of the sale, Shamrock Farms will donate 10,000 school-sized cartons of milk for the first 10,000 packages of Girl Scouts cookies donated to St. Mary’s through this program.

Thanks to all the Girl Scouts who came out for this awesome event!

Posted: Jan 31, 2012

On January 16th, local Girl Scouts from across our council celebrated MLK Jr. Day by celebrating his life, and giving back to their community.

Troop 436 attended the Martin Luther King, Jr., Day March in Phoenix, and the ASU MLK Day of Service. At the MLK Day of Service, the girls spent time at Tiger Mountain Foundation's Garden of Tomorrow in South Phoenix. They cleaned the area, pulled weeds and planted flowers.
