Girl Leadership & Awards
Silver Award is the highest award girls in 6th-8th grade can earn. It lets a girl discover and tackle a problem outside of Girl Scouts and make connections and work with others to create a lasting change in the community.
Pre-req – Complete steps 1-2 of a Cadette Journey so girls will be poised to learn how to Take Action.

This training is for Cadettes and the adults that guide them to learn:
• the difference between a community service project and a Silver Award Take Action project
• ideas on how to raise the bar and address the root cause of problems
• how to make a Silver Award project measurable
• how sustainability fits into the Silver Award
• what you need to submit to the council
• recognition offered by the council

Open to registered Girl Scouts grades 6-8/Cadette Level and the adults that guide them.
At least one adult per troop must register and attend training with girls.
Registration deadline: one week prior to training
