Tell us why you invest the time and effort in being a Troop Leader? I believe I give girls the opportunity that they would not have at home.
Do you have a camp name? What is it and the story behind it? Ping pong. My Service Unit created it for me since I go from ping to pong.
Favorite Girl Scout program and why? Badges. Because the girls select the ones they want to do.
If you were a Girl Scout Cookie what would it be and why? Thin Mints...I love the flavor and remember them as a kid.
What was the most inspiring moment you’ve experienced? The teamwork among fellow leaders and our neighborhood. We share ideas and don’t need to re-create everything.
What has been your proudest moment? When I had a girl say that I am her role model and that I help her widen her world of wonder.
How do you balance the demands of being a Troop Leader? It is something that I make time for. It's important to me, so it’s a priority.
What goals and projects are you currently working on? The seniors are going to volunteer at retirement centers, the cadettes are starting to think of a silver award, and the brownies/daisies are working to learn the Girl Scout Law and Lead by Example.
What advice would you give other Troop Leaders? To give it your best. Each troop is unique so don't worry that you're not like the rest. Be proud of what you can do to help make future strong women.
