Volunteers of the Month: Supporting every girl as she grows in her faith

Did you know? Girls can integrate their faith into Girl Scouting. With Faith Centered Scouting, volunteers support a girl’s growth in her faith, providing her with the opportunity to gain new skills and build self-esteem.

Janie Vargas and Dolores Bartlett received the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Award from the Diocese of Phoenix Catholic Committee for their efforts in sharing the Catholic faith with Girl Scouts. These ladies facilitated classes and assisted with retreats for girls to earn their religious emblems.

Because of their remarkable work, more girls are able to deepen their faith, all while experiencing the Girl Scout Leadership Experience! Great work!
