Troop Tuesday: Troop 1345 Commemorates 15th Anniversary of 9/11

tt-troop-1345-sept11

Even though the members of Troop 1345 were born after the September 11 tragedy, they still wanted to do something special to honor the lives that were lost.

Troop 1345 decided to create a memorial by gluing red, white and blue poppies on the American flag. Together, they made 2,996 poppies, which represented each life lost.

On September 11, 2016, Troop 1345 and their families gathered together. They held a flag ceremony and interviewed adult family members about their experience and memories. We can’t think of a better way to pay tribute to all the fire fighters, police officers, soldiers and civilians we lost that day.
