At Girl Scouts, civic engagement, responsibility, and duty are at the heart of the values and ideals we try to instill in girls. They are written into our Promise and Law, which calls on girls to serve their country, respect authority, and make the world a better place.
On election night, Troop 1010 learned about the election process, made campaign posters, gave speeches describing their leadership skills, created their own laws and cast their ballots.
After counting the ballots, the girls discussed about how they felt and how important it is to work together regardless the outcome. They even earned their Inside Government patches in the process! Way to go, girls!
