Animal shelters can be a scary place for dogs as they are constantly indoors and have little human interaction. As part of earning their Hiking/Animal Care badge, Brownie Troop 1356 wanted to make a positive impact in the lives of adoptable dogs at the shelter.
Troop 1356 decided to participate in Maricopa County Animal Care and Control’s Wag & Walk Adoption Hike Program, which allows hikers the opportunity to meet and see dogs outside the shelter environment. To make the program extra special, the girls donated 30 homemade rope toys to the adoptable dogs. What a wonderful gesture!
Troop 1356 is learning the importance of making pets feel loved, healthy and safe. Great job, girls!
